Placing nature at the heart of our impact strategy
At Santa’s Lapland, championing the great outdoors is our passion, but we know that travel doesn’t come without its challenges. From the pressure on biodiversity and communities, to the global impact of carbon emissions, the way we explore the world matters.
That’s why we’re committed to creating holidays that are thoughtful by nature: reducing our negative impacts, restoring and protecting the environments we love, and supporting the people and places that make our holidays special.
Here are some of our key achievements so far…
16% reduction in our per person per night emissions intensity since our baseline in 2022
Introduced the Santa’s Lapland sensory guide to include guidance for all accessibility requirements as well as sensory needs
Employed two British Sign Language qualified Santa’s Lapland rangers
Partnered with Family Fund, the UK’s largest grant-making charity supporting low-income families raising disabled or seriously ill children
Partnered with Rewilding Britain to support nationwide nature recovery
Investing in carbon removal with partner Klimate since 2023
Our ten step plan is how we protect and replenish the places we love. Between now and 2030, this roadmap guides how we will care for nature, act on climate and support our communities.
It is built on four pillars: Respect, Reduce, Reconnect and Replenish, with one goal in mind: championing the great outdoors.
